[ Proclamation No. 484, November 5, 1968 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 8 TO 14, 1968 AS GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES’ WEEK.

WHEREAS, it is necessary to focus attention on the legion and efficient government workers for their contribution to nation-building; and

WHEREAS, recognition of their service is an incentive to greater dedication and efficiency in public office;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from December 8 to 14, 1868, as Government Employees’ Week. I call upon all citizens to turn their thoughts to the honest and efficient government employee in grateful appreciation for his services. The Week should be devoted to the attainment of maximum service efficiency and the highest degree of harmony and cooperation between the public and the government employee.
