[ Proclamation No. 454, August 28, 1968 ]

DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 30, 1968, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BOHOL AND TACLOBAN CITY.

WHEREAS, Friday, August 30, 1968, marks the successful revolt of Dagohoy against Spanish tyranny in Bohol; and

WHEREAS, the people of Bohol should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate the occasion with fitting ceremonies and to render tribute to Dagohoy’s exemplary love of country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Friday, August 30, 1968, as a special public holiday in the province of Bohol and Tagbilaran City.
