DECLARING JULY 14 TO JULY 20, 1968 AS BLOOD HONOR’S WEEK.

WHEREAS, the Philippine National Red Cross Blood Program has contributed much to the promotion of general health, the mitigation of human suffering and the saving of human lives; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting that a week be set aside during which we may dedicate our noblest thoughts and manifest our appreciation to the thousands of blood donors throughout the country who, by sharing part of their life in order that others may live, form the mainstay of the Blood Program;

NOW, THEREFORE, I FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare July 14 to July 20, 1968 as Blood Donor’s Week. I call upon all people to turn their thoughts on the thousands of blood donors in the country whose unselfishness and charity must be acknowledged with gratitude.
