DECLARING JUNE 24, 1968, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF MANILA ON THE OCCASION OF “ARAW NG MAYNILA” ON MANILA FOUNDATION DAY.

WHEREAS, the City of Manila during the past six years has fittingly observed June 24th as its founding anniversary;

WHEREAS, this yearly celebration accentuates Manila’s historical role as symbol of our national unity and indeed, the very seat of our national identity; and

WHEREAS, the people of Manila are entitled to a full day of commemorating this important date not only in their history but in that of the whole nation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare June 24, 1968, as a special public holiday in the City of Manila.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippine to be affixed.
