MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 411, June 12, 1968 ] AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE AMATEUR ATHLETIC FEDERATION AND NATIONAL SPORTS ASSOCIATION AFFILIATED WITH IT, TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN FROM JUNE 15 TO OCTOBER 31, 1968. WHEREAS, the national sports associations of the Philippines duly organized under existing laws to constitute the Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation have among their primary objectives the adoption of a training program for the development of athletes and their preparation for international competitions, as well as the promotion of sports through the holding of local, interport and international competitions other than Olympic and Asian games; WHEREAS, the implementation of the above objections needs the fullest support and sympathetic involvement of all citizens and residents of the Philippines; WHEREAS, it is of public knowledge that the achievements of greater number of Filipinos in the field of sports have brought distinct honor and glory to our country and people; and WHEREAS, in order to develop a progressive sports consciousness among our people and at the same time generate additional funds to meet certain financial requirements of the Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation and the national sports associations constituted under it, an educational and fund campaign is necessary; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation and national sports associations organized under Republic Act No. 3135, to conduct a national educational and fund campaign from June 15 to October 31, 1968. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, irrespective of nationality or creed, to live tremendously of their mean so that we may substantially assist our athletes to bring honor and glory to our country and people.1aшphi1 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set may hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
