[ Proclamation No. 374, March 29, 1968 ]

DECLARING MAY 1968 TO APRIL 1969 AS NEPA YEAR.

WHEREAS, the National Economic Protectionism Association (NEPA) has been organized for the protection and promotion of local products and industries;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Government has launched a more extensive and vigorous program of economic development; and

WHEREAS, the NEPA has contributed in a large measure towards economic development through its espousal of Philippine-made products and goods;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from May 1968 to April 1969 as “NEPA Year.” During this period, the NEPA is authorized to initiate and carry out projects for the promotion of economic development, particularly through patronage of Philippine-made goods. I call upon the mass media, including theater owners, to support NEPA projects.
