[ Proclamation No. 368, March 18, 1968 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 29 TO MAY 5, 1968, AS JUNIOR CHAMBER (JAYCEE) WEEK.

WHEREAS, a Junior Chamber International Conference will be held in Manila from April 29 to May 5, 1968, with delegates from Asia and other parts of the world to promote and fulfill Jaycee purposes, objectives and programs; and

WHEREAS, public attention should be focused on the JAYCEE CREDO.

That faith in God gives meaning and purposes to human life;

That the Brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;

That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;

That government should be of laws rather than of men;

That each’s great treasures lie in human personality; and

That service to humanity is the best work of life;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from April 29 to May 5, 1968, as Junior Chamber (Jaycee) Week under the auspices of the Manila Junior Chamber of Commerce.1aшphi1
