DECLARING FRIDAY, MARCH 22, 1968, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCES OF RIZAL, BULACAN, PAMPANGA, NUEVA ECIJA, TARLAC, LAGUNA, CAVITE AND BATANGAS AND IN THE CITIES OF MANILA, QUEZON, PASAY, CALOOCAN, ANGELES, CABANATUAN, PALAYAN, SAN PABLO, CAVITE, TAGAYTAY, TRECE MARTIRES AND LIPA.

WHEREAS, Friday, March 22, 1968, marks the birthday of General Emilio Aguinaldo, President of the Philippine Republic; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting to honor on that day no only the illustrious General but also the unsung heroes who rose in revolt in the right provinces which spearheaded the fight for Philippine emancipation from Spain;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, March 22, 1968, as a special public holiday in the provinces of Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Laguna, Cavite and Batangas, and in the cities of Manila, Quezon, Pasay, Caloocan, Cabanatuan, Angeles, Palayan, San Pablo, Cavite, Tagaytay, Trece Martires and Lipa, to give the residents thereof opportunity to celebrate the honorable event with appropriate ceremonies.
