DECLARING SATURDAY, MARCH 9, 1968, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND IN THE CITY OF LIPA.

WHEREAS, the seventy-seventh birthday of the late JOSE P. LAUREL, patriot, jurist, and statesman, falls on March 9, 1968; and

WHEREAS, the people of Batangas should be given full opportunity to celebrate his birthday with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Saturday, March 9, 1968, as a special public holiday in the province of Batangas and in the City of Lipa.
