MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 325, January 2, 1968 ] AUTHORIZING THE SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGE PHILIPPINES, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 1 TO MARCH 1 TO MAY 31, 1968. WHEREAS, additional facilities are needed to provide food, clothing, shelter, medical attention, protection and education to orphaned, abandoned or otherwise homeless children as well as to those born of destitute or incompetent parents; WHEREAS, civic-spirited citizens and residents of the Philippines who have organized and incorporated a civic, non-profit organization known as the SOS Children’s Village Philippines, Inc. are engaged in a progress of amelioration for the benefit of these unfortunate children; and WHEREAS, the meritorious mission of the SOS Children’s Village Philippines, Inc. deserves the support of every civic spirited citizen and resident of the Philippines; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the SOS Children’s Village Philippines, Inc. to conduct a National Fund Campaign during the period from March 1 to May 31, 1968. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, irrespective of nationality or creed, to give generously of their means so that we may substantially assist in bringing up these unfortunate children.
