[ Proclamation No. 305-A, November 17, 1967 ]

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 304 DATED NOVEMBER 13, 1967.

WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 304 dated November 13, 1967, the holding of the regular elections scheduled for November 14, 1967, in the Mountain Province has been postponed to November 18, 1967, in view of the failure of the Commission on Elections to deliver the election supplies and forms caused by the typhoon “Welming”;

WHEREAS, the elections in the municipalities of Paracelis, Natonin and Barlig of said province can not possibly be held on November 18, 1967, in view of their inaccessibility, as they can be reached only within three or four days’ hiking for the delivery of election materials; and

WHEREAS, it is essential and important that the registered voters in said three municipalities be afforded the opportunity to exercise their right of suffrage;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend the third paragraph of Proclamation No. 304 dated November 13, 1967, to read as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, and upon recommendation of the Commission on Elections, and pursuant to the provision of Section 8 of the Revised Election Code, do hereby postpone the holding of the regular elections scheduled for November 14, 1967, in Mountain Province to November 18, 1967, with the exception of the Municipalities of Paracelis, Natonin, and Barlig, same province, which shall be conducted on November 19, 1967.”
