[ Proclamation No. 304, November 13, 1967 ]

POSTPONING THE HOLDING OF THE REGULAR ELECTIONS SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 14, 1967 IN MOUNTAIN PROVINCE TO NOVEMBER 18, 1967.

WHEREAS, the Commission on Elections was not able to deliver the election supplies and forms, including the official ballots, in the new Mountain Province, on account of the impassability of the roads in the said province caused by the last typhoon “Welming”;

WHEREAS, it is essential and important that the people in that province be afforded the opportunity to exercise their right to vote;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, and upon recommendation of the Commission on Elections, and pursuant to the provision of Section 8 of the Revised Election Code, do hereby postpone the holding of the regular elections scheduled for November 14, 1967 in Mountain Province to November 18, 1967.1aшphi1
