[ Proclamation No. 295, October 24, 1967 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 19 TO 26, 1967, AS “PROVINCIAL PRESS AND RADIO WEEK”.

WHEREAS, provincial press and radio have proven themselves potent and effective media for the protection of civil liberties, exposure of social ills and abuses, and promotion of economic growth in their respective communities; and

WHEREAS, in promoting economic, social and political growth in their respective communities, provincial press and radio have corresponding responsibilities in disseminating truthful information and wholesome programs;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 19 to 26, 1967, as “Provincial Press and Radio Week” under the auspices of the provincial press and radio organizations.
