[ Proclamation No. 275, October 4, 1967 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1967 TO OCTOBER 1968 AS “CONSCIOUSNESS YEAR FOR FILIPINO GREATNESS”.

WHEREAS, it is the civic obligation and patriotic duty of every Filipino to participate actively in the achievement of national progress through more positive thinking and action; and

WHEREAS, to achieve this end, a concerted and long-term program by all civic or religious organizations, schools and the press for instilling among people a greater consciousness of the heroic and noble deeds and sacrifices of Filipinos, living and dead, and of their dignity and honor as true Filipinos, in all fields of endeavor, would be very timely and give national direction to our efforts;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from October 1967 to October 1968 as “Consciousness Year for Filipino Greatness” under the auspices of the United Crusade for Greatness, Inc., civic organizations, the schools and the press.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
