[ Proclamation No. 267, September 22, 1967 ]

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 1967, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND LIPA CITY.

WHEREAS, General Miguel Malvar is one of the most heroic figures in our history, being the last Filipino General to surrender in the Filipino-American War; and

WHEREAS, the people of Batangas should be given full opportunity to celebrate the 102nd birthday of General Malvar on September 27, 1967;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Wednesday, September 27, 1967, as a special public holiday in the province of Batangas and Lipa City.
