[ Proclamation No. 266, September 20, 1967 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 3 TO 9, 1967, AS GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES’ WEEK.

WHEREAS, it is necessary that government employees be encourage to achieve greater efficiency in the public service; and

WHEREAS, one of the incentives to higher standards of service is to focus attention on the invaluable services rendered by deserving government employees;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from December 3 to 9, 1967, as Government Employees’ Week. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines as well as all schools and civic or organizations to turn their thoughts to the honest, loyal and devoted government employees in grateful appreciation of the services rendered by them. The Week should likewise be devoted to the attainment of maximum service efficiency and the highest degree of harmony and cooperation between the public and the employees.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
