[ Proclamation No. 263, September 11, 1967 ]

DECLARING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 1967, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN CAVITE CITY.

WHEREAS, Tuesday, September 12, 1967, marks the 71st anniversary of the execution of the thirteen martyrs from Cavite;

WHEREAS, their supreme sacrifice on the altar of the country’s struggle for self-determination is of special significance to our people, particularly the inhabitants of Cavite City; and

WHEREAS, the people of Cavite City should be afforded full opportunity to commemorate the event with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Tuesday, September 12, 1967, as special public holiday in Cavite City.
