[ Proclamation No. 246, August 11, 1967 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, AUGUST 21, 1967, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE SUBPROVINCE OF GUIMARAS.

WHEREAS, August 21 marks the first anniversary of the establishment of Guimaras as a subprovince of Iloilo; and

WHEREAS, the people of Guimaras should be given an opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Monday, August 21, 1967, as a special public holiday in the Subprovince of Guimaras.
