[ Proclamation No. 227, July 10, 1967 ]

ESTABLISHING AS PIACAN FOREST RESERVE FOR WATERSHED, SOIL PROTECTION, TIMBER PRODUCTION AND OTHER FOREST USES, THE PARCEL OF PUBLIC DOMAIN, KNOWN AS TIMBERLAND, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE PROJECT NO. 17-E, SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SIOCON, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE.

Upon the recommendation of the Director of Forestry, approved by the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and pursuant to the provisions of Section 1826 of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 3092, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, settlement or other disposition, and establish and proclaim as Piacan Forest Reserve, subject to private rights, if any there be, the parcel of land of the public domain identified as Timberland, Zamboanga del Norte Land Classification No. 17-E, situated in the Municipality of Siocon, Province of Zamboanga del Norte and established under Forestry Administrative Order No. 4-777, dated January 27, 1959 for wood production, watershed, soil protection and for other forest uses under the administration and control of the Director of Forestry who shall have the authority to regulate the use and occupancy of said forest reserve and the cutting, collection and removal of timber and other forest products therein in accordance with forest laws and regulations.

The aforementioned parcel of public domain is shown and more particularly described in the attached Bureau of Forestry Map LC-2259, comprising the timberland of Land Classification No. 17-E of Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte containing an area of FIVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY ONE (5,461) hectares, more or less.
