DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MAY 21 TO 27, 1967, AS “RURAL BANKS WEEK”

WHEREAS, rural banks all over the country have assisted in no small degree the socio-economic development of a great many of our rural communities; and

WHEREAS, the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines will jointly sponsor with the Central Bank of the Philippines, the fourteenth annual convention of rural bankers to be held in Baguio City from May 25 to 27, 1967;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, in recognition of the contribution of the rural banking system to the nation’s economic advancement and well-being, and to stir public consciousness to the advantages and benefits of rural banking, do hereby declare the period from May 21 to 27, 1967 as “Rural Banks Week” under the auspices of the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines and the Central Bank of the Philippines.1aшphi1
