MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 169, February 13, 1967 ] ESTABLISHING AS TUNGAWAN-MALAYAL FOREST RESERVE FOR WOOD PRODUCTION, WATERSHED, SOIL PROTECTION AND OTHER FOREST USES, THE PARCELS OF PUBLIC DOMAIN KNOWN AS TIMBERLAND, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE AND SUR LAND CLASSIFICATION PROJECT NOS. 5-O, 17-J, 24-J, 25-E AND 23-D, PER B.F. MAP L.C.-2507, SITUATED IN THE CITY OF ZAMBOANGA AND THE MUNICIPALITIES OF SIOCON, LABASON, LILOY AND IPIL, PROVINCES OF ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE AND ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, PHILIPPINES. Upon recommendation of the Director of Forestry, approved by the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and pursuant to the provisions of Section 1826 of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 3092, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, settlement or other disposition and establish and proclaim as TUNGAWAN-MALAYAL FOREST RESERVE, subject to private rights, if any there be, the parcels of public domain known as Timberland, Zamboanga del Norte and Sur Land Classification Project Nos. 5-O, 17-J, 24-J, 25-E, and 23-D, situated in the City of Zamboanga and the municipalities of Siocon, Labason, Liloy and Ipil, provinces of Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur, demarcated and established under Forestry Administrative Order No. 4-1025, dated January 29, 1962, for wood production, watershed, soil protection and other forest purposes under the administration and control of the Director of Forestry who shall have the authority to regulate the use and occupancy of said forest reserve and the cutting, collection and removal of timber and other forest products therein in accordance with forest laws and regulations.1aшphi1 The aforementioned parcels of public domain are shown and more particularly described in the attached Bureau of Forestry Map L.C.-2507, comprising the Timberland of the aforementioned Zamboanga del Norte and Sur Land Classification Project Nos. 5-O, 17-J, 24-J, 25-E and 23-D, containing an area of FIFTY FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT (54,558) HECTARES, more or less. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
