[ Proclamation No. 93, August 24, 1966 ]

DECLARING TUESDAY, AUGUST 30, 1966, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BULACAN.

WHEREAS, Marcelo H. del Pilar, our hero and patriot who used the nom de plume of “Plaridel” in his struggles in Spain to obtain reforms for the Philippines during the Spanish regime, was born in Bulacan, Bulacan, on August 30, 1850; and

WHEREAS, the people of Bulacan should be given full opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Tuesday, August 30, 1966, as a special public holiday in the province of Bulacan.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
