[ Proclamation No. 26, April 21, 1966 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 28 TO MAY 15, 1966, AS ASIAN YOUTH FORTNIGHT.

WHEREAS, the Philippines will be host to the 8th Asian Youth Football Tournament in which fourteen Asian nations will participate; and

WHEREAS, such international tournaments promote better understanding and relations among countries and their peoples, besides fostering character development and physical fitness among the youth;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from April 28 to May 15, 1966, as Asian Youth Fortnight under the auspices of 8th Asian Youth Football Tournament Committee. I enjoin public officials, employees and citizens to cooperate in making this event a success.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
