MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 502, November 23, 1965 ] DECLARING THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1965, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR NATIONAL THANKSGIVING. WHEREAS, it is fitting that a day be set aside on which to dedicate our noblest thoughts in prayer and thanksgiving to God for all the blessings He has showered upon us; NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, November 25, 1965, as a special public holiday for national thanksgiving. I call upon all the people to turn their thoughts on that day to blessings He has bestowed upon us.
