MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 491, November 13, 1965 ] MAKING PUBLIC THE TRADE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA. WHEREAS, the Trade Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was concluded and signed at Manila on the sixteenth day of June nineteen hundred and sixty-five; and WHEREAS, the Agreement came into force on the date of the signing by the contracting parties and will remain in force for a period of one year and thereafter, until the expiration of 90 days from the date on which one of the Governments receives from the other a written notice of its intention to terminate the same, as stipulated in Article IX of the Agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, be it known that I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, have caused the said Trade Agreement, a certified copy of which in the English text is .hereto attached, to be made public to the end that the same and every article and clause thereof may be observed and fulfilled with good faith by the Republic of the Philippines and citizens thereof.1aшphi1 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
