[ Proclamation No. 486, November 6, 1965 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 1965, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY.

WHEREAS, it is necessary that the people be given all opportunity to exercise the right of suffrage; and

WHEREAS, many voters are reigstered in the provinces and need to go home to vote;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, pursuant, to the authority vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Monday, November 8, 1965, as a special public holiday, except for government communications offices or media, such as the Bureau of Telecommunications and all the government telegraph offices throughout the country, which shall, as usual, be open for business.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
