[ Proclamation No. 456, September 24, 1965 ]

DECLARING SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1965, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE, PROVINCE OF ALBAY.

WHEREAS, Saturday, September 25, 1965, marks the 62nd anniversary of the surrender of General Simeon Ola, one of the last Filipino generals to surrender during the Filipino-American War; and

WHEREAS, the people of his province should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in, me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Saturday, September 25, 1965, as a special public holiday in the Province of Albay.
