[ Proclamation No. 433, August 17, 1965 ]

CALLING FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION TO FILL AN EXISTING VACANCY IN THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF ATOK, MOUNTAIN PROVINCE.

WHEREAS, this Office is informed that a vacancy exists in the Municipality of Atok, same province, for failure to elect the 6th councilor during the last elections of November 12, 1963;

NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the authority conferred upon me by Section 21(c) in relation to Section 22 of Republic Act No. 180, otherwise known as the Revised Election Code, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, do hereby proclaim and call a special election in the said municipality for the purpose of electing the 6th member of the Municipal Council of Atok, Mountain Province, to serve the unexpired term of the vacancy therein; which elections shall take place on Tuesday, the ninth day of November, nineteen hundred and sixty-five, to coincide with the general elections for President, Vice-President, eight senators, and members of the House of Representatives.

The provisions of the Revised Election Code insofar as they are applicable shall be followed in the conduct of the elections herein called.1aшphi1
