[ Proclamation No. 431, August 8, 1965 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1, 1965, TO MARCH 21, 1966, AS PHILIPPINE YOUTH MOBILIZATION APPEAL TIME.

WHEREAS, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has embarked on a worldwide mobilization of young people in support of the Freedom-From-Hunger Campaign;

WHEREAS, this “Young World Mobilization Appeal” would be launched during the World FFHC Week from October 16-24, 1965, and will continue for twenty-one weeks until March 21, 1966; and

WHEREAS, there is a real need for a national participation in the movement in order to instill in the minds of our youth their responsibility and the role they can play in bringing hope to the people in the world who are still in the grip of hunger, malnutrition, poverty and ignorance;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from October 1, 1965, to March 21, 1966, as Philippine Youth Mobilization Appeal Time under the auspices of the Philippine National Committee on Freedom-From-Hunger Campaign.1aшphi1
