[ Proclamation No. 425, July 28, 1965 ]

REVOKING PROCLAMATION NO. 71 DATED JULY 23, 1936, WHICH WITHDREW FROM DISPOSITION ALL UNSURVEYED LANDS OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THOSE MENTIONED THEREIN, AND DECLARING SUCH UNSURVEYED LANDS OPEN TO DISPOSITION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE PUBLIC LAND ACT.

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources and pursuant to the provisions of Section 8 of Commonwealth Act No. 141, as amended, otherwise known as the Public Land Act, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, do hereby revoke Proclamation No. 71 dated July 23, 1936, which withdrew from disposition all unsurveyed lands of the public domain, with the exception of those mentioned therein, and declare such unsurveyed lands open to disposition under the provisions of said Act.

The Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources shall immdiately study and determine the requirements that have to be complied with by the applicants before their applications for such unsurveyed lands are accepted and given due course; however, pending such study and determination, applications therefor may be accepted, provided that the lands covered thereby could be definitely identified on the ground through appropriate sketches thereof drawn to scale. Bonafide occupants thereof as of the date of this proclamation shall be given preference in the dispositions of said lands.1aшphi1
