[ Proclamation No. 405, June 2, 1965 ]

DECLARING SATURDAY, JUNE 19, 1965 AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY

WHEREAS, the one hundred fourth birthday anniversary of Jose Rizal, our national hero, falls on June 19, 1965; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies in keeping with his ideals and teachings;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the power vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Saturday, June 19, 1965, as a special public holiday.
