MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 401, May 19, 1965 ] DESIGNATING THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 1 TO JULY 15, 1965, FOR THE SEVENTEENTH ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE COMMUNITY CHEST. To enable the Community Chest to carry on its community welfare services, I DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, do hereby designate the period from June 1 to July 15, 1965, for its seventeenth annual educational and fund campaign. I call upon all residents, firms and organizations in the City of Manila, Quezon City, Pasay City, Caloocan City and municipalities of Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Navotas, Parañaque and San Juan, Province of Rizal, to support this campaign and to give generously to the Community Chest which unites into one annual appeal the fund campaigns of the following welfare agencies: Abiertas House of Friendship American Philippine Guardian Associacion de Damas Filipinas Settlement House Asilo de San Vicente de Paul Catholic Youth Organization Free Legal Aid Clinic Free Medical Clinics (Patronatos) St. Joseph’s Patronage of the Sick St. Philomena’s Patronage of the Sick Poor Patronato de Nuestra Sra. de Lourdes Patronato de San Francisco Javier Patronato de Santa Luisa de Marillac Girl Scouts of the Philippines Quezon City Girl Scouts Council Pasay City Girl Scouts Council Manila Girl Scouts Council Rizal Girl Scouts Council Good Shepherds Convent La Proteccion de la Infancia Manila Children’s Hospital Gota de Leche National Federation of Women’s Clubs Nursery Classes Philippine Association of the Deaf Philippine Band of Mercy Philippine Mental Health Association YMCA of the Philippines Manila YMCA Downtown YMCA YWCA of the Philippines Manila YWCA General Assembly of the Blind Family Life Workshop of the Philippines Young Christian Workers I authorize and urge all government officials and employees, including school authorities and teachers, to accept, for the Community Chest, fund-raising responsibilities and and to give it full support and dedicated leadership in their respective communities.1aшphi1 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
