DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MAY 30 TO JUNE 5, 1965, AS “RURAL BANKS WEEK.”

WHEREAS, rural banks all over the country have contributed in no small measure to the social and economic uplift of an overwhelming majority of our people; and

WHEREAS, the Central Bank of the Philippines will jointly sponsor with the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines the 12th annual convention of rural bankers to be held in Baguio City from June 3 to 5, 1965;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Republic of the Philippines, in order to stress the vital role of rural banks in contributing to rural progress and development, and to give due cognizance to the worthy efforts of rural bankers, do hereby declare the period from May 30 to June 5, 1965, as “Rural Banks Week” under the auspices of the Central Bank of the Philippines and the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines.1aшphi1
