[ Proclamation No. 373, March 6, 1965 ]

DECLARING THURSDAY, MARCH 18, 1965, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCES OF ILOILO, CAPIZ, AKLAN, ANTIQUE AND ROMBLON, AND IN THE CITIES OF ILOILO AND ROXAS.

WHEREAS, the twentieth anniversary of the liberation of the Island of Panay and Romblon Province from the Imperial Japanese Forces falls on March 18, 1965; and

WHEREAS, the people of the Island of Panay and Romblon Province desire that they be given full opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, pursuant, to the authority vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Thursday, March 18, 1965, as a special public holiday in the provinces of Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, Antique and Romblon, and in the cities of Iloilo and Roxas.
