DECLARING 1965 AS INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION YEAR AND CREATING A NATIONAL COMMITTEE ON INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION YEAR.1aшphi1
WHEREAS, the United Nations General Assembly in a Resolution adopted in November 1963, had designated 1965, the twentieth year of the United Nations, as International Cooperation Year;
WHEREAS, in the aforementioned Resolution member states of the United Nations are called upon to publicize to the widest extent feasible the activities of international co-operation in which they have been and are at present engaged and their efforts to strengthen and expand these activities; and
WHEREAS, the Philippines as a founding member of the United Nations has participated actively in, and contributed substantially to, all the activities of international co-operation undertaken by the United Nations;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare 1965 as International Co-operation Year and create a National Committee on International Co-operation Year to formulate plans and undertake projects to give substance to the General Assembly resolution to be composed of the following:

I call upon all citizens to participate in the observance of International Co-operation Year and to assist the National Committee on International Co-operation Year in all its projects.
