[ Proclamation No. 363, February 22, 1965 ]

MAKING PUBLIC THE CONVENTION OF THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL MARITIME CONSULTATIVE ORGANIZATION, DONE AT GENEVA ON MARCH 6, 1948

WHEREAS, the Convention on the Intergovernmental Maritime Consultative Organization was concluded and signed by the representatives of twenty-one member states on March 6, 1948, at Geneva, Switzerland;

WHEREAS, the Senate of the Philippines, by its Resolution No. 88 adopted on February 22, 1957, concurred in the acceptance of said Convention as provided for in the Constitution of the Philippines;

WHEREAS, the pertinent Instrument of Acceptance by the Republic of the Philippines was deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations on November 9, 1964; and

WHEREAS, the Republic of the Philippines became a Party to the Organization upon the deposit of the Instrument of Acceptance, as stipulated in Article 57, Part XVI of said Convention;

NOW, THEREFORE, be it known that I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, have caused the said Convention, a certified copy of which in the English text is hereto attached, to be made public to the end that the same and every article and clause thereof may be observed and fulfilled in good faith by the Republic of the Philippines and the citizens thereof.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
