DECLARING WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 1965, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS SUR
WHEREAS, the ninety-third anniversary of the martyrdom of Father Jose Burgos falls on February 17, 1965; and
WHEREAS, the people of Ilocos Sur, his birthplace, should be afforded full opportunity to observe the event with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Wednesday, February 17, 1965, as a special public holiday in the province of Ilocos Sur.
