DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY 20 TO 26, 1965, AS “NATIONAL PRINTING WEEK”

WHEREAS, printing as an art and as one of the thriving industries in the country and all over the world is intimately linked with a people’s social, cultural, economic, and scientific progress;

WHEREAS, the Third Asian Printers Congress, which meet in Manila from February 20 to 24, 1965, aims to establish a more cohesive regional body, the ALL-Asian Printers’ Federation, and to discuss Asian advancement through progressive printing; and

WHEREAS, national growth through progressive printing is the concern of this Administration;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from February 20 to 26, 1965, as “National Printing Week” under the auspices of the Filipino Printers Association.
