[ Proclamation No. 350, January 16, 1965 ]

DECLARING THURSDAY, JANUARY 21, 1965, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY

WHEREAS, January 21 of every year has been declared as Civil Liberties Day under Proclamation No. 69, dated December 27, 1962, in order to inspire our people to greater dedication to the cause of democracy and freedom;

WHEREAS, the objective of that proclamation will be better achieved if the people are given full opportunity to celebrate Civil Liberties Day with appropriate ceremonies for the preservation of the basic freedom;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Thursday, January 21, 1965, as a special public holiday throughout the Philippines.
