[ Proclamation No. 347, January 8, 1965 ]

MAKING PUBLIC THE TREATY OF FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AND THE STATE OF ISRAEL

WHEREAS, a Treaty of Friendship between the Republic of the Philippines and the State of Israel was concluded and signed by their respective plenipotentiaries at Manila, Philippines, on February twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred and fifty-eight;

WHEREAS, the Senate of the Philippines, by its Resolution No. 19 adopted on May 21, 1963, concurred in the ratification of said Treaty in accordance with the Constitution;

WHEREAS, the instruments of ratification of the said Treaty by the two Governments were exchanged at Manila, Philippines, on December eighteenth, nineteen hundred and sixty-three; and

WHEREAS, it is stipulated in the Treaty that it shall enter into force upon the exchange of ratification in accordance with Article VIII of the Treaty;

NOW, THEREFORE, be it known that I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, have caused the said Treaty, a certificate copy of which in the English text is hereto attached, to be made public to the end that the same and every article and clause thereof may be observed and fulfilled with good faith by the Republic of the Philippines and citizens thereof.1aшphi1
