DESIGNATING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 1, 1964, TO NOVEMBER 30, 1965, FOR THE FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE NATIONAL SHRINES COMMISSION FOR THE CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE CORREGIDOR NATIONAL SHRINE AND AUTHORIZING THE NATIONAL SHRINES COMMISSION TO CREATE A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE AND AN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND SUCH OTHER WORKING GROUPS AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO HELP IN THE FUND CAMPAIGN

To enable the National Shrine Commission to hasten the conservation and development of Corregidor Island as a national shrine, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, do hereby designate the period from December 1, 1964, to November 30, 1965, for its fund campaign.

In addition, I hereby authorize the National Shrines Commission to create a National Fund Campaign Committee, an Executive Committee, and such other working groups as may be necessary to prosecute the objectives of the National Shrines Commission and this order. The Committees are authorized to solicit funds, to receive donations and contributions, deposit the same, and incur expenses, the proceeds of which shall accrue to the funds of the National Shrines Commission.

I call upon all residents, firms, and organizations of the country and our friends, here and abroad, to support this campaign and to give generously to the conservation and development of Corregidor into a premiere national shrine.

I authorize and urge all government officials and employees, including school authorities and teachers, to accept, for the National Shrines Commission, fund-raising responsibilities and to give it full support and dedicated leadership in their respective communities.1aшphi1
