DECLARING SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 1964, AS LAW DAY

WHEREAS, the administration of justice is indispensable to a sound and vigorous democracy;

WHEREAS, lawyers play an important role in the administration of justice which is also vital in the promotion of the socio-economic program of the Government; and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting that such a vital role of lawyers in the life and well-being of the nation be duly brought to the attention of our people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, September 19, 1964, as Law Day. I urge the various bar and lawyer’s associations to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies.1aшphi1
