MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 292, August 14, 1964 ] ESTABLISHING AS MOUNT LEGASPI FOREST RESERVE FOR WOOD PRODUCTION, WATERSHED, SOIL PROTECTION, AND OTHER FOREST USES, THE PARCELS OF PUBLIC DOMAIN KNOWN AS TIMBERLAND, SURIGAO DEL NORTE LAND CLASSIFICATION PROJECT NOS. 7-C AND 36-C AND SURIGAO DEL SUR LAND CLASSIFICATION PROJECT NO. 4-B, PER B.F. MAP L.C.-2462, SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF GIGAQUIT AND CLAVER, PROVINCE OF SURIGAO DEL NORTE, AND THE MUNICIPALITY OF CARRASCAL, PROVINCE OF SURIGAO DEL SUR, PHILIPPINES Upon recommendation of the Director of Forestry, approved by the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and pursuant to the provisions of section 1826 of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 3092, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, settlement, or other disposition, and hereby establish and proclaim as Mount Legaspi Forest Reserve, subject to private rights, if any there be, the parcels of public domain known as Timber Land, Surigao del Norte Land Classification Project Nos. 7-C and 36-C and Surigao del Sur Land Classification Project No. 4-B, situated in the Municipalities of Gigaquit and Claver, Province of Surigao del Norte, and the Municipality of Carrascal, Province of Surigao del Sur, Philippines, demarcated under Forestry Administrative Order No. 4-980, dated May 31, 1961, for wood production, watershed, soil protection, and other forest uses, under the administration and control of the Director of Forestry who shall have the authority to regulate the use and occupancy of said forest reserve and the cutting, collection, and removal of timber and other forest products therein in accordance with the forest laws and regulations. The aforementioned parcels of public domain shown and more particularly described on the attached Bureau of Forestry Map L.C-2462, comprising the Timber Land of the aforementioned Surigao del Norte Land Classification Project Nos. 7-C and 36-C and Surigao del Sur Land Classification Project No. 4-B, containing an area of Sixteen Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty (16,950) hectares, more or less.1aшphi1 In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
