MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 280, August 3, 1964 ] ESTABLISHING AS MOUNT PINA FOREST RESERVE FOR WOOD PRODUCTION, WATERSHED, SOIL PROTECTION, AND OTHER FOREST USES, THE PARCELS OF PUBLIC DOMAIN KNOWN AS TIM-BERLAND, LEYTE LAND CLASSIFICATION PROJECT NOS. 10-F AND 23-C, PER B.F. MAP LC-1889 AND 10-G, 15-D, 23-D, 46-A, AND 48-A, PER B.F. MAP LC-2239, SITUATED IN ORMOC CITY AND IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF CAPOOCAN, JARO, CARIGARA, AND KANANGA, PROVINCE OF LEYTE, PHILIPPINES Upon recommendation of the Director of Forestry, approved by the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources and pursuant to the provisions of section 1826 of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended (by Republic Act No. 3092, I, Dios-dado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, or settlement, or other disposition, and hereby establish and proclaim as Mount Piña Forest Reserve, subject to private rights, if any there be, the parcels of public domain known as Timber Land, Leyte Land Classification Project Nos. 10-F and 23-C and 10-G, 15-D, 23-D, 46-A, and 48-A, demarcated and established under Forestry Administrative-Order Nos. 4-406 and 4-757, dated August 29, 1955, and November 20, 1958, respectively, situated in Ormoc City and in the Municipalities of Capoocan, Jaro, Carigara, and Kananga, Province of Leyte, Philippines, for wood production, watershed, soil protection, and other forest uses, under the administration and control of the Director of Forestry who shall have the authority to regulate the use and occupancy of said forest reserve and the cutting, collection, and removal of timber and other forest products therein in accordance with forest laws and regulations. The aforementioned parcels of public domain are shown and more particularly described on the attached Bureau of Forestry Map L.C-1889 and 2239, comprising the Timber Land of the aforementioned Leyte Land Classification Project Nos. 10-F and 23-C and 10-G, 15-D, 23-D, 46-A, and 48-A, containing an area of 18,176 hectares, more or less.
