DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 26 TO 31, 1964, AS SURVEYING AND MAPPING WEEK

WHEREAS, surveying and mapping represent a vital aspect of the national effort towards economic progress;

WHEREAS, valuable work has been done in the field by people who have labored hard and without fanfare; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to focus attention on the importance of surveying and mapping in the scheme of national development and on the contribution of surveyors and engineers to national economy and progress;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from July 26 to July 31, 1964, as Surveying and Mapping Week and designate the Board of Technical Surveys and Maps to take charge of its celebration.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
