[ Proclamation No. 271, July 20, 1964 ]

DECLARING TUESDAY, JULY 21, 1964, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCES OF COTABATO, LANAO DEL NORTE, LANAO DEL SUR, AND SULU, AND IN THE CITIES OF BASILAN, COTABATO, ILIGAN, AND MARAWI

In connection with the Muslim National Feast of Mauleed-En Nabi, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philip­pines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Tuesday, July 21, 1964, as a special public holiday in the provinces of Cotabato, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, and Sulu, and in the cities of Basilan, Cotabato, Iligan, and Marawi.

Muslim officials and employees of the Government, both national and local, performing their duties and functions outside of the provinces and cities above stated, shall be exempted from duty during this feast day which, for purposes of this proclamation, shall be considered as a special public holiday for 3aid officials and employees in their respective stations.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
