DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 21 TO 27, 1964, AS “ADVERTISING WEEK”

WHEREAS, advertising has grown into a vital force in the development and promotion of trade and commerce in the Philippines;

WHEREAS, advertising as a tool of marketing has helped generate business, industrial activity, and employment; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary that the significant role played by advertising in bringing about social and economic progress be brought to the attention of our people;

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from July 21 to 27, 1964, as “Advertising Week.”
