RESERVING A PORTION OF THE SEA LOCATED IN SAMAR ISLAND FOR THE PHILIPPINE FISHERIES COMMISSION, FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PEARL AND MOTHER OF PEARL SHELL INDUSTRY
Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources and pursuant to the provision of section 73 of Act 4003, as amended, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, do hereby reserve for the development and promotion of the mother of pearl shell and pearl industries, under the administration of the Philippine Fisheries Commission, subject to private rights, if any there be, a certain portion of the sea located in Samar Island and more particularly described as follows:
Proposed Area (Samar Island)
for gathering mother of pearl shells
The area bounded on the North and East by the mainland of Samar; and on the South and West by an imaginary straight line from Sungi Point to Gigoso Point through western coastline of Manicani Island.
