DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 26 TO MAY 2, 1964, AS HUMAN RELATIONS WEEK

WHEREAS, good human relations are necessary for efficient public service and harmonious dealings in business, home life, and other fields of human endeavor; and

WHEREAS, the constant observance of good human relations will not only redound to the happiness and contentment of all but will also bolster social progress and economic development;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby proclaim the period from April 26 to May 2, 1964, as “Human Relation Week,” to impress upon our people the need, value, and importance of good human relations in all activities, under the auspices of the Dale Carnegie Club of the Philippines and the National Association of Government Public Relations Officers of the Philippines.
