[ Proclamation No. 222, March 25, 1964 ]

DECLARING THURSDAY, APRIL 2, 1964, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BULACAN AND BATAAN.

WHEREAS, the second day of April is the birthday of Francisco Balagtas, Prince of Filipino Poets; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of Bulacan, his birthplace, and Bataan, where he lived and died, should be given full opportunity to celebrate his birthday;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Thursday, April 2, 1964, as a special public holiday in the provinces of Bulacan and Bataan.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
